Renewable energy

Our company will be focusing in three types of renewable energy:

1. Solar energy - It is an effective way of using nature without hurting it, Solar panels absorb sunlight by using PV cells, which creates electrical charge.

2. Wind energy - It can be gained by using windmills, where turbines are rotated a full 360 degrees using wind which created kinetic energy with the gears of the windmill which creates electricity to be used by communities.

3. Hydropower - It uses flowing water such as creeks and rivers but for big hydropower plants, they need to be placed in hilly or mountainous sites so we can create dams that'll use water to spin the turbines to create kinetic energy which can be converted into electricity EcoGen promotes these ways of acquiring energy because fossil fuels and power plants are no longer safe for the environment, it is destroying our atmosphere and contributing to global warming and climate change.

In the US, according to EIA (Energy Information Administration) almost 800 million metric tons of CO2 are emitted from their powerplants using coal alone, 600 million metric tons of CO2 are from natural gas and 13 million metric tons of CO2 from petroleum.
